Pet Dander

The allergies are really starting to get out of control and I am trying harder now than ever before to keep them at a minimum. The pet dander has always been a big issue but I have been at my wit’s end trying to figure out how to reduce them. I have always been eager to figure out the best tried and true methods but there are always new and innovative ways to combat the issue. Luckily, I have been able to consult my friends and colleagues and get some thorough information on the best solutions to the problem.

The first site I turned my attention to was to get the best reviews possible for purifiers for pets. I know there are many out there to want to help you improve your health at home and there are several ways in which to do that. Not one to just rely on one place for my information, I also checked out got the best advice ever, which included so many other reviewers that really laid it on the line in terms of what to expect and the price points.

What is dirtier though? The air that resides in the house or the air that you experience outside? According to reports by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) air inside the house can be up to five times that amount of pollutants, pet dander, smoke from cigarettes, and soot. This is why you need to invest in an air purifier as they are ideal for removing those pollutants and helping people that suffer from asthma and/or allergies. For those people that live near major huge highways and areas that are filled with pollutants, these filters help cycle and cleanse the air as they capture impurities and replace the old stale air with clear and clean air back in the space. Another important feature to look out for is the HEPA factor as this is crucial in helping you breathe better in certain spaces. The following air filters are the best ones I have come across to help you breathe easier and clear the air of impurities.

Winix 5500-2 Air Purifier featuring Plasma Wave Technology

Winix 5500-2 featuring Plasma Wave Technology

For an exceptional air purifier that combines amazing performance as well as price, the Winix 5500-2 is one of the frontrunner in the industry for many reasons. It comes with better technical specifications, and is also priced better than its contenders. I personally prefer this air purifier over other ones because it is more portable than other ones and it is able to filter out charcoal and absorb those awful smells. There are even small pockets for charcoal nubs, which are similar to the type that you can find in litter boxes or compost bins.

Technically speaking, the CADR ratings come in a bit better than the Conway brand, but the differences are truly minute, but for pricing, it is more than $50 less than a Conway. On Amazon, it is even more affordable by comparison and yet another reason why it made the top of my list. For the value or providing cleaner air and even better value, I would endorse this one more if I had to choose between the two.

Looks and even maintenance are important issues for some people, and with the Winix, you get a matte charcoal finish, where are the Conway is glossy and comes with a magnet for both dust and those pesky cat hairs. The Conway is sleeker and sexier, but the Winix is a more discreet option if you prefer it not be seen. There are other Winix models that are a tad too bulky that I would not particularly like, but different strokes for different folks. I found out that popping up the hood is fairly easy and the cover employs magnets to snap into place, with filters that lock inside and that means you don’t have to worry about dissecting and then replacing these filters. Conway is fairly flimsy and you might need a couple of attempts to put the pre-filter and front back after it’s been removed.

Conway 4-Stage Air Purifier

Conway 4-Stage

This Conway is truly one of the most impressive models out there and although it costs a bit more, it has to be considered one of the top picks because it truly delivers across all fronts.  It performs better than the Winix model and excels at how quickly clears the air space each hour.
